Wedding finally arrived!

We just popped in to have a look at our wedding cake and make final payment. All good. They have made the top tier and we were able to have a look! Yee haa!

Not long now

After months and months and months of planning and preparation. Countless hours of discussions and meetings, the wedding is finally all but upon us.

With only two and bit days to go, I do not know if I will have another chance to post a blog before the wedding.

It has been alot of fun organising the wedding for both Quyen and myself, and we look forward to sharing the many photos and stories with you later.

I have posted a picture of the Chapel before. The last photo was a little Dodgy. However, I took a few photos on the weekend that are a little clearer for you.

The sad part of the visit to the Chapel is that some idiot vandals have smashed the big window with rocks - it was plated up with other large pieces of glass. I didn't bother taking a photo of that as it was hardly deserved.

This was the final catch up between my Mum and Dad, and Quyen's Mum before the big day. Quyen was on hand to translate back and forth. There were smiles all around.

Dad got stuck into the cake dished out by Quyen's Mum. I rocked up a bit late. However, in my defence, I was doing wedding stuff with Paul Erickson - that single dude who is in my bridal party.

Bridal Party Cocktail Night

Saturday night saw a get together of our bridal party. We had five of the six rock up - with Linda unable to make it up from Adelaide.

The night was fantastic and offered a chance for everyone to have a good chat with each other. There were 9 people in all - with 8 and 9 made up by Jovanka and Mark - both also having an integral part in the wedding day.

Mark, as mentioned before will be driving the main bridal car, while Jovanka will be the photographer while the photographer is not around... I know what I mean...

Meet Shannon. The MC for our wedding night.

Shannon is a dude. He has a fantastic sense of humour and is very accomodating and appreciative of just what we want for our wedding. He heads the breakfast show on 94.1FM in Wollongong. Yep, that was a plug for them.

We caught up on Saturday and covered the entire reception - and what we would like covered.

Yep, I know. Shocking photo - Quyen's head chopped off, my head tilting back pathetically. At least we have Shannon in the frame.

Shannon had his wedding at CBFC last year and is one of their resident MCs

We chose the wedding cake in Wollongong on Saturday. Not wanting to give too much away, we will be having a two-teir cake, with each teir being different flavours. The bottom teir will be cut for guests at the wedding. As is custom, the top tier will be shoved in the freezer for our first wedding anniversary. We scored a free tasting. I was hoping for a coffee to at some point, but that was a no-show. Bugger it. We have chosen the cake from Delaneys. They offered fantastic advice and helped us choose the perfect cake for our day.

Quyen and I called in to Peta-Mary and Ron's place on Sunday. We had a chat about the day and tidied off a few questions and other areas. Sarah is very excited to be flower girl for our wedding. Her sister Kate and Brother Patrick were, as always, very attentive and enjoyed the visit.
