Groomies 1st Lunch

All four of us got together for the first time in nine months to talk about the Wedding day and Bucks day plans. The day was great. It started at about 11am. We all played with my Snake, Trekki, chatted for a while trying to organise dates for two things: the first for the four of us to go on a camping trip for a night, the second was the bucks night.

All sorted, we then headed off to Doy Tau Thai Restaurant in King Street, Newtown. Fantastic meal, and for $40 in total for the four of us including entrees, couldn't go wrong.

The photo, from left to right is Paul Erickson, Ian Failes, Paulie Nghi and myself standing on my balcony in St. Peters.

I did not receive any payment for product placement from BP. www.bp.com.au oops, who put that link there...!!!

Let the Bucks Begin

The planning of the bucks party is well and truly under way. A bucks party is the party the Groom has a few weeks before his big day. It is generally a few long term friends and close family members. The day usually involves some laughs and pranks made against the groom.

Paul Nghi - the best man at my wedding, is in charge of organising the Bucks Day... along with Paul and Ian.

The email has been drafted and sent inviting ideas and suggestions as to what to do. 9 holes of golf is a definite, as is a sit down meal. Here is a portion of the email he sent...

"as a celebration of the last days of his independence weareorganising a bucks day/night to reassure him that he has made the rightdecision...."

and then there is this:

"we hope to be making an excursion to Sydney city for some drinks, a feed and for those unacquainted with the big smoke... some sightseeing. For the feast we are thinking either ribs at "tony roma's" (sussex st) or suckling pig at "captain torres" (liverpool st)... after dinner drinks will be found at a suitable nearby establishment followed by Ian Failes' "bird watching" tour of Sydney ..."

hmmm... make of that what you will. The bird watching tour scares me... hmmm.... don't know if I will be able to handle that one.

Rest assured I will be posting photos of the day. Incriminating photos, however, will NOT BE POSTED. Nor will they be emailed by special request!!!

The following few photos are some hints on the Thank you cards. We are well and truly underway with the Thank you cards. However, althought having purchased all of the material for the Wedding Invitations, we have not yet started on them... hmmm... better get cracking on those - after all, they have to go out before the wedding. The Thank you cards go out after the wedding. But, hey, they will be personalised after the wedding. We are just doing the template for now. This photo is of Winny hard at work on them. (I was working hard too, but had to stop to take this photo - promise :))

Hand embroides material, ribbon and cardboard is the essence. Oh, and maybe the odd bug or two.

Which Font?

Which Font1

Who would ever have thought that two simple words would be so hard to print! Quyen and I spent about two hours the other day trying to work out whcih font to use to print 'thank you' on! Hmmm... after downloading 2001 different fonts and scrolling through them all; much deliberation; one big fat ponder, we made the decision. Which one do you think we decided on? If you guess correctly you win a prize.

The chapel is in the grounds of my High School - Edmund Rice College, Wollongong. I spent six years there - 1991-1996. The photo is not of the best quality... sorry! there will be plenty of photos of the inside after the wedding day!
